Product description
QIDI Q2C 3D printer – fast CoreXY machine for demanding beginners and advanced users
QIDI Q2C redefines the entry-level category of 3D printers. It combines a robust CoreXY structure, a large build volume of 270 × 270 × 256 mm, hands‑free automatic leveling, and a high‑temperature hotend up to 370 °C. The result is smooth surfaces, precise details, and reliable printing of a wide range of filaments – from PLA to engineering materials.
The Q2C is a lightweight variant of the Q2 model – it keeps the performance but without an actively heated chamber and with an optional filter, which reduces both price and weight.
Main advantages of QIDI Q2C
- Large print volume 270 × 270 × 256 mm – space for functional parts, prototypes, cosplay, and larger sets of models.
- CoreXY motion + all‑metal frame – high stability, fewer vibrations, clean walls without ghosting.
- Speed up to 600 mm/s, acceleration up to 20 000 mm/s² – high speeds with minimized vibrations thanks to input shaping.
- Automatic leveling (loadcell in the hotend) – true contact with the bed, no probe offsets, perfect first layer.
- High‑temperature bimetal nozzle up to 370 °C – ready for engineering materials and composites with carbon or glass fiber.
- Double‑sided PEI magnetic flexible build plate – excellent adhesion and easy removal of prints for most materials.
- Compatibility with QIDI Box (multi‑color) – option to upgrade for multi‑color and multi‑material printing.
- Enclosed design with optional filter – safer operation at home and in the office, better conditions for ABS/ASA.
Key features for everyday use
1. Stable CoreXY with linear guides
QIDI Q2C uses CoreXY kinematics with 1.5GT belts and a linear guide on the X‑axis. This brings:
- smooth and precise movement even at high speeds,
- better surface quality,
- long‑term accuracy thanks to the metal construction and quality bearings.
Two independent lead screws on the Z‑axis provide uniform lifting and stability for heavier print beds.
2. Hands‑free automatic bed leveling
Leveling is handled by a loadcell integrated directly in the hotend. Before printing, the printer measures the actual contact of the nozzle with the build plate and automatically:
- creates an accurate height map,
- eliminates the human factor during calibration,
- ensures a perfect first layer across the entire surface.
No need to watch the probe offset or fine‑tune the height manually.
3. High‑temperature hotend and bimetal nozzle
The hotend is designed for temperatures up to 370 °C and uses:
- a ceramic heat break and improved cooling to reduce the risk of clogs,
- a bimetal hardened nozzle suitable even for abrasive filaments (CF/GF).
Thanks to this, you can print not only PLA, PETG, or TPU but also PA, PC, and composites with carbon or glass fiber (with the correct profile and conditions).
4. PEI flexible magnetic build plate
The build plate is a double‑sided PEI magnetic build plate:
- excellent adhesion for PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA, and other materials,
- once cooled, you can simply flex the sheet and the print pops off,
- fast surface replacement and easy maintenance.
5. Ready for multi‑color printing with QIDI Box
QIDI Q2C is fully compatible with QIDI Box (optional accessory):
- option to add multi‑color / multi‑material printing with up to 16 materials (by chaining 4 boxes),
- automatic spool switching and tangled filament detection,
- 65 °C filament drying directly during printing.
For users starting with classic single‑color printing, the Q2C is an excellent base with the option to upgrade later.
6. Speed, input shaping, and safety
- Max. head travel speed: 600 mm/s (recommended working speeds are lower depending on the material).
- Acceleration up to 20 000 mm/s² and input shaping to reduce vibrations and maintain quality.
- Print recovery after power loss – the printer remembers its state and resumes once power is restored.
- Filament sensor monitors its presence in the extruder.
The optional air filter helps reduce dust particles and odors, which is especially useful when printing ABS/ASA.
Supported materials
QIDI Q2C supports a wide range of standard and advanced filaments:
- Standard: PLA, PLA+, PETG, ABS, ASA
- Flexible: TPU
- Engineering: PA (nylon), PC
- Composites: carbon‑ or glass‑fiber‑filled polymers (CF/GF – a hardened nozzle is recommended, which the printer includes)
Thanks to the high nozzle temperature, enclosed design, and quality motion system, the Q2C is suitable both for hobby use and for functional prototypes and small production runs.
Software, connectivity, and control
- Slicer: QIDI Studio (official) + compatibility with OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, and other modern slicers.
- Supported formats: STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, STP.
- Connectivity: 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, USB.
- Storage: 32 GB eMMC + USB flash drive.
- Display: color 4.3" touchscreen panel with a resolution of 480 × 272 px.
The control interface is clear and easy to understand even for users new to 3D printing.
Who QIDI Q2C is ideal for
- Home users and hobby makers who want a reliable and fast 3D printer without the need for major modifications.
- Small businesses and prototyping workshops that need to print functional parts from engineering materials.
- Schools and clubs where the combination of safety, enclosed design, and simple operation is important.
QIDI Q2C offers an excellent balance of speed / quality / price and provides room for growth – for example by adding a QIDI Box for multi‑color printing.
