Product description
QIDI Max4 – large-format, fast and accurate 3D printer for demanding users
QIDI Max4 is the flagship FFF/FDM 3D printer from QIDI for users who need large print volume, high speed and industrial reliability. Thanks to the volume of 390 × 390 × 340 mm, you can easily print large prototypes, functional parts, fixtures, molds and smaller production series. Combining CoreXY kinematics, FOC closed-loop motors, 370 °C high-flow hotend (40 mm³/s) and an actively heated chamber up to 65 °C pushes the Max4 to the level of industrial machines, but with the simplicity of a desktop printer.Main advantages of QIDI Max4
- Huge print volume 390 × 390 × 340 mm – ideal for large parts and multiple jobs in one run.
- Fast CoreXY kinematics – head movement speed up to 800 mm/s, acceleration up to 30 000 mm/s².
- 370 °C hotend, flow rate up to 40 mm³/s – ready for technical and filled materials (CF/GF).
- Actively heated chamber up to 65 °C – significantly reduces warping for ABS, ASA, PA, PC and composites.
- 390 × 390 mm silicone heated bed with even temperature distribution – stable adhesion over the entire surface.
- Enclosed, rigid all-metal construction – stability, safety and consistent results.
- Automatic nozzle leveling (loadcell in hotend) – no offset probe, real contact with the plate.
- AI camera – print monitoring, detection of "spaghetti" and print errors.
- Compatibility with QIDI Box – possibility of multi-color and multi-material printing with up to 16 materials.
- Wide filament support – PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, PA, PC, carbon and glass fiber composites, etc.
- Modern connectivity – Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz, Ethernet, USB, built-in 32 GB EMMC memory.
- 5" touchscreen and QIDI Studio – intuitive control, support for OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer etc.
Who is QIDI Max4 suitable for
- Industry and production – large functional parts, fixtures, assembly accessories, small series.
- Development and prototyping – rapid iteration of designs, use of technical materials close to final plastics.
- Service, automotive, hobby workshops – robust spare parts, covers, holders, fixtures.
- Schools and universities – demonstrating advanced printing technologies and processing of technical polymers.
Print quality and speed
CoreXY + FOC closed loop
Max4 uses a CoreXY arrangement with 1.5GT belts and FOC closed-loop motors. This brings:- smoother and more precise movement,
- reduction of vibration (VFA) and surface artifacts,
- higher reliability at high speeds.
Z-axis with short step and anti-backlash nut
The Z-drive is handled by 2mm screws with separate motors and anti-backlash nuts. The short screw pitch minimizes wobble and ensures very fine layering even for tall models.Hotend, heated chamber and cooling
370 °C high-flow hotend
- Max. nozzle temperature 370 °C.
- Material flow up to 40 mm³/s – suitable for high-speed printing.
- Ceramic heatbreak for effective thermal insulation.
- New hotend cooling module to reduce clogging.
- Bi-metal hardened steel nozzle – ideal for abrasive filaments (CF/GF).
Actively heated chamber
Integrated PTC heating with controlled air circulation can heat the chamber up to 65 °C. This:- stabilizes printing for ABS, ASA, PA, PC and composites,
- minimizes deformation and cracking,
- ensures consistent mechanical properties throughout the height of the model.
Active head cooling – Polar Cooler (optional)
The optional Polar Cooler brings cold air directly to the extruder and filament and significantly reduces the risk of clogging, even during long prints in a hot chamber.Print bed and first layer
- Bed size 390 × 390 mm.
- Aluminum reinforcement + silicone heating layer with densely spaced heating wires.
- Maximum bed temperature up to 120 °C.
- Double-sided textured PEI plate included in the package.
Automatic leveling and sensors
Nozzle leveling (loadcell)
Max4 uses an integrated loadcell sensor in the hotend, so the nozzle itself is the sensor.- There is no offset between the probe and the nozzle.
- Alignment is not affected by the type of printing surface.
- User-friendly – true "plug & play" first layer.
Other safety and user features
- Filament sensor (run-out) – stops printing when filament runs out.
- Tangle detection (with QIDI Box) – protection against feeding errors.
- Power loss recovery.
- AI camera (up to 1080p) – timelapse, remote monitoring, "spaghetti" detection.
- RGB status LEDs – fast visual information about print status.
