PPS-CF – Composite material with excellent resistance and stability

PPS-CF is a composite material made from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) reinforced with carbon fiber. The combination of PPS resin and carbon fibers gives PPS-CF outstanding properties, including exceptional resistance to solvents, corrosion, high temperatures, and flames. Higher printing temperatures increase the strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability of PPS-CF. When paired with the QIDI Plus4 printer, it becomes a highly specialized engineering plastic capable of meeting the demands of challenging applications.

Heat resistance up to 264 °C

PPS-CF features a heat deflection temperature of up to 264 °C at 0.45 MPa load and is capable of long-term operation at temperatures above 200 °C. Thanks to its excellent thermal resistance, it exhibits outstanding creep resistance, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial environments and applications exposed to high temperatures.

Excellent self-extinguishing

PPS-CF meets the UL-94 V-0 self-extinguishing classification, ensuring maximum safety and reliability in electronic and automotive components. Thanks to its superior resistance, it delivers long-term performance even under the most demanding conditions.

PPS-CF combines the rigidity of PPS polymers with the reinforcing power of carbon fibers to achieve high flexural and tensile strength and excellent stiffness. Excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents

PPS-CF exhibits exceptional chemical resistance. At temperatures below 200 °C, it is practically insoluble in any solvent and demonstrates excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts under normal conditions. This makes it an ideal choice for harsh environments where high chemical stability is critical.

Extremely low moisture absorption

PPS-CF has extremely low water uptake, just 0.05%, ensuring the stability of its mechanical and thermal properties even in humid environments. Thanks to this property, it is ideal for applications where moisture resistance is crucial.
