Product description
QIDI Polar Cooler – External Extruder Cooling for QIDI FDM Printers
QIDI Polar Cooler is an advanced external cooling solution designed for QIDI FDM 3D printers, especially the QIDI Max4 and QIDI Q2 models. The unit actively blows cool air through a hose directly onto the cold part of the hotend and into the filament path, thereby eliminating "heat creep" phenomena and significantly reducing the risk of nozzle clogging during long or fast prints.
Thanks to the combination of a heated chamber and the Polar Cooler, you can print even large parts from PLA and other materials at higher chamber temperatures without deformation or loss of surface quality.
Main Benefits and Features
- Active Extruder and Filament Cooling\nDirects cool air through an aluminum heatsink and silicone hose directly onto the cold zone of the hotend and the filament path.
- Significant Reduction in Nozzle Clogging\nThe design is engineered to reduce the occurrence of clogging by up to 90% (according to the manufacturer) when printing long tasks and technical materials.
- Stable Printing in a Closed Heated Chamber\nIn combination with the QIDI heated chamber, it enables printing of large PLA models without edge warping, as well as better stability for ABS, ASA, PA CF, and other more demanding filaments.
- Closed-Loop Regulation\nBuilt-in electronics utilize a closed regulation loop that keeps the output air in the range of approximately 5–10 °C, optimizing conditions for hotend cooling.
- Quiet Operation\nThe unit's noise level is around 54 dB at a distance of 1 m, so it does not add significant noise to the printer itself.
- Durable Construction\nThe body of the unit is made of ABS plastic, the heatsink is made of aluminum, and the air supply is provided by a 5×7 mm silicone hose, which is resistant to chamber temperatures.
Who is QIDI Polar Cooler suitable for?
Polar Cooler will be especially appreciated by:
- QIDI Max4 and QIDI Q2 users who print\n
- long series of parts,
- large PLA models in a closed chamber,
- technical materials (ABS, ASA, PA, PC, reinforced composites),
- those dealing with frequent nozzle clogging or unreliable filament feeding at higher chamber temperatures,
- professional users who care about maximum stability and print predictability.

Summary of Benefits for Your Printing
With the QIDI Polar Cooler, you get a more stable printing process, fewer interruptions due to clogged nozzles, and the ability to use the heated chamber to its full potential without overheating the hotend and filament. This results in higher productivity, better print quality, and lower scrap rates – especially for long production runs and demanding materials.
If you own a QIDI Max4 or are considering a high-performance QIDI FDM solution, the Polar Cooler is an ideal accessory that gets the most out of your printer.
